Seniors and Grads

Graduation from high school is one of the most exciting milestones in you or your child's life. Commemorate the occasion for years to come with senior portraits, and use them to announce the accomplishment to friends and family.

This is the time for the senior to shine!  I'll guide you through preparing for your session step by step as select a location, guidance on choosing outfits, and helping you consider what special items they may want to include in their session.  All with the intention of reflecting who your senior is right now!

Celebrating who they are

THE Senior EXPERIENCE

Senior portraits are all about the senior and their personality, but the culminating event of senior year is graduation and you'll want a portrait of them in the cap and gown.  Most high school seniors receive their cap and gown just days before graduation, and while some will borrow a cap and gown for senior portraits, I think it’s really important that this portrait is as personal to you as possible. So, that includes any sashes, cords, honors, your school colors in your tassel, and anything else that distinguishes you on graduation day. You worked hard and this portrait should reflect your pride in this accomplishment!

That’s why I offer complimentary Cap and Gown Mini Sessions in May to my Senior Portrait Clients.

Ready to get started?

I highly recommend Senior Portrait Sessions be held in the summer or fall at the beginning of senior year. The weather is nice, outdoors is beautiful, you’ll have the peace of mind knowing it’s been taken care of, and you’ll have plenty of time to order graduation announcements, party invitations and prints.  It's not too late to schedule in spring, as nature begins to bloom there are gorgeous opportunities for senior portraits.

Outdoor sessions are typically held between April and October.  If there is a need for a session over the winter please contact me directly to schedule.

When will i receive my gallery?

For senior portraits, choose outfits that reflect your personality and make you feel confident, this is all about capturing you. Solid colors, simple patterns, and layered pieces photograph beautifully and give you a few different looks in one session. Bring 2-3 outfits with a mix of casual and dressy options. Don’t forget to include something meaningful, like a sports jersey or instrument, to help tell your story.

After your session is scheduled you will receive additional information on what yo wear for you session.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

I have several locations that I frequently use and recommend, including seasonal options such as flowering fields. I will send you detailed information about the locations you can choose from when you schedule your session.

You are not limited to the locations I recommend; if you have a location in mind let me know and we'll see how it will work.  Some of the most special sessions take place at a location that has special meaning to the senior.

College grads I highly recommend holding your session on your college campus!

what location should i choose?

Yes,  a Senior or Grad Session includes 10 images, but you can purchase as many individual images as you'd like or purchase your full gallery. Do you know you will want to keep them all?  The best value is pre-purchase your full gallery at a discounted price during your initial booking.

can i purchase additional images?

Galleries are delivered within two weeks following the session.
