Family sessions are all about capturing the love, laughter, and connection that makes your family perfectly you. We’ll get those must have posed family portraits, but also the fun stuff: giggles between siblings, sweet snuggles with mom, and solo shots of each child being themselves.
Family sessions are held at scenic outdoor locations, where everyone can relax and enjoy creating the photos you’ll treasure forever. I'll guide you through your planning process step by step in selecting the location, choosing your outfits, and preparing your family.

I open my calendar for scheduling by the season. I recommend scheduling a few weeks in advance, and longer for the fall as it is the most in demand for portraits.
Family sessions are held outdoors, and for the preferred soft light are primarily held an hour before sunset. I will offer a limited number of morning sessions for families that prefer an early time.
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY SESSION?
For family portraits you’ll want to coordinate everyone’s colors. Think soft neutrals, earthy tones, or complementary shades that reflect the season. Avoid loud patterns or logos, and instead focus on textures and layers to add visual interest. Most importantly, choose outfits that feel comfortable and reflect your family’s style so everyone feels like themselves in front of the camera.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
I have several locations that I frequently use and recommend, including seasonal options such as flowering fields. I will send you detailed information about the locations you can choose from when you schedule your session.
You are not limited to the locations I recommend; if you have a location in mind let me know and we'll see how it will work. Some of the most special sessions take place at a location that has special meaning to a family, including their own yard.
what location should i choose?
Yes, the Family Session includes 10 images, but you can purchase as many individual images as you'd like or purchase your full gallery. Do you know you will want to keep them all? The best value is pre-purchase your full gallery at a discounted price during your initial booking.
can i purchase additional images?
Galleries are delivered within two weeks following the session.
when will i receive my gallery?
Booking your family session is convenient and done entirely on your time. Just use the links in the menu, or click here, to access my calendar, choose a date that works for you, and fill out a short form with a few details about your family. Once you sign the contract and pay your retainer, your session is officially reserved. That’s it!
HOW do i Schedule?
A non-refundable retainer of $100 +tax and the signed contract is required to reserve a session. You will complete both of those at the same time on my booking page. The balance for the session is due the day of the session.
